RE: Laredo tire pressure high from dealer

I think I would check what pressure the wheel is stamped. 15 inch D tire is 65#. The wheel most likely is to.

RE: Is 12ft. possible?

I think I would look into a shorter wheel and tire. Changing wheels and tires much easier then raising a building.

RE: How tight can you tighten your brakes down to??

You need to adjust your brakes, which is not hard to do, just like camping man posted. The last and only time I had to replace magnets and shoes and turn the drums was over 20 years ago and it was $50 a wheel. I wonder what it would cost now?
On my previous fifth wheel, adjusting the controller, was a pain in the butt. I installed a 0 to 15 amp gauge in the power wire and it made all the difference in the world when adjusting. I would adjust the controller to draw 5 amps and it was adjusted. My controller now uses different shade of lite for adjusting. Works fine also, but a amp gauge would be more positive.

RE: Transfer Flow auxilary tank.

90% of the driving was freeways 75 speed limit. The rest was from Reno to Chico Calif. That was some curvy road. Hauling my 24 foot 5th wheel I can't remember what mileage I'm getting, but I sure wish it was 15.5. I do remember
I keep it under 60.

RE: Transfer Flow auxilary tank.

On my previous post I mentioned my truck but left out the year and
size. It's a chev 2005 2500. With the price of fuel, gas mileage is
getting important.

RE: Transfer Flow auxilary tank.

I had the 30 gal combo installed at the factory last June.
The trax thing displays when dumping from the aux to the
main tank. It dumps a little at a time. If I remember rightly
and that is questionable, there is instructions on adjusting
the main fuel gauge. I beleave I tried but these electronic
gadgets are beyond me. It's 1200 miles to transfer flo. On
the way out with just my truck (chev HD 6.0 410 gears) I got
15.5 miles per gal(driving as fast as the speed limit with
air most of the way. On the way back using the trax gauge
for gas usuage I got the same 15.5 That gauge seems to be
accurate.

RE: Maxxis or Denman tires dealers in Canada

In Denver Colorado area I ordered my Maxxis thru Discount tires.
They were the only tire store of the half dozen I contacted that would order them for me. Discount tire Insurance, mounted and balanced was way cheaper than if I ordered them myself from maxxis.
Without looking it up I beleave total price per tire was $85 for
225D/R15.

RE: Need to run coffee pot early in AM

MrWizard: You didn't scare me off. The original poster wanted to use the coffee maker he has. He inquirered about a inverter and that is what I replyed about. I installed a inverter for the same reason he has. The 750 watt
perculator coffee pot is a 45 year old Corning ware. They were recalled years ago cause the handle broke. I like the coffee it makes otherwise I would of got rid of it years ago. Although I have 2 series 27 batterys in my rv. I only need one to make coffee. I did add more information on the inverter cause I thought other readers might be thinking of adding an inverter and it might be helpful. By coincidence the heating unit on my coffee pot bit the dust 2 days ago. I'll be looking for a replacement.

RE: Need to run coffee pot early in AM

I use a 1250 watt inverter (around $125) and my normal 10 cup 750 watt electric coffee pot. 11 minutes house current. My fifth wheel has 2 12 v batterys. Only use one. Takes 11 minutes also. Will not run a 650 watt microwave, will run 750 watt hot plate and 750 watt toaster. Can't recall
if it ran a small electric frying pan. Didn't have room for a larger inverter. A 2000 watt inverter would be nice. I've only used this trailer 5 days in the last 2 years. Would like to run the microwave off the inverter.

RE: honda Gen will not start

Had that problem once. I found out I had it in the eco mode. Put it in the run mode and they started right up.

RE: Transfer Flow Tank for $795.00?

On sept 7 2007 I was out to Chico California and had a 30 gal gas
combo tank installed. The tank and installation was right at $2000.
They also had a 50 gal combo. The 40 gal diesel is something new. You can be sure it will be top quality. I was really impressed with their buildings and employees. Ben Winters was who I dealt with. They are far from being a backyard operation. The gas gauge measured both tanks in gallons, was accurate enough to check my mpg accurately. Ben did mention they were coming out with a black tank. Mine is shiney.
